Florida currently leads the SEC with 40.3 ppg. LSU is tied for second with Ark at 38.8. so, considering that we play Kentucky and Fla plays bama, theres a very good chance LSU could lead the conference in scoring by Sunday.

anyone optimistic it stays that way?

Arky might score a ton on aTm. Why no consideration for them?

Pretty safe bet that we score more vs UK than Arky does against aTm IMO

Meh, we would score 60 a game with Jefferswag starting.

Why is that? Arky has only been shut down by bama.

Plus, it is highly likely that Arky and aTm could get into a scoring duel.

This goes to show u that we haven't played anybody with a good defense. This offense isn't built to put up those types of points consistently.

this is not possible, the offense last year averaged more yards per play...it doesn't make sense. I know the D is good...but it was also good last year (until worn down with numerous 3 and outs).....this is not possible, LSU currently has the 98th total ranked offense or something like that (screw the great field position/less chance for more yards theory)....this is simply not possible.

we played 3 top 25 teams.....most all other teams in the SEC have played massive cupcake schedules......do your homework. BTW...oregon and wv will end up with top 25 defenses this year....State will be in the middle......this offense can and will put up those points consistently...that is what balanced offenses do when they also have good D

Yes ... three reasons LSU becomes a 40 PPG offense

1. We are continually improving on offense.

It has been an absolute joy to watch that young freshman WR tear teams up. Lee is playing better and better each game, and should be "spurred to greater things" on JJ's return ... With the TE's back and everyone ready this week, I'm looking for 40+ points on that scoreboard with Mett maybe getting a few reps

2. We face some tough teams, but we have a lot of easy wins also ... two ESPN Bottom 10 teams (Ole Miss & WKU) ... I look for similar competition in November & October as we had in September

3. Remember the Defense is improving "BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY AND POST ALTOGETHER" even though ... This still adds up to points

We goin' to the SHIP, man!!!

Probably just a factor of how bad arse awesome our defense is.

Our defense is #14 in Scoring Defense. Our Total Offense is #88 but our Scoring Offense is #18. Our Scoring Offense has no doubt been helped by defensive turnovers like Honey Badger serving the ball on the 1 yard line during the WVU game.

Long story short, our offense isn't very impressive but they don't really have to be because our defense and special teams are so bad arse.

But if JJ was starting QB and we had the #98 Passing Offense (which we do), I have no doubt whatsoever you Lee Lovers would be bitching a blue streak over that stat in every damn thread.

Man u do ur homework. This vanilla ball control offense will not lead the sec in ppg much longer. You are predicting where they will finish, but where are they now? We are built to control the clock and play field position.

Scoring offense is the only stat that matters because this defense is OFF THE CHARTS

LSU is number 18 in scoring when we have JET BLUE PASSING PROGRAMS LIKE #1 OREGON

How did that # 1 Scoring offense work out for Oregon

Are they still hanging 70 PPG on folks after LSU b

LSU is currently 7th/8th in the SEC in rushing/passing offense. The defensive scores/takeaways and special teams play have had a huge impact on the scoreboard, the offense is not a juggernaut but much improved from a balance standpoint. I mean, passing for 179 a game is not lights out, but a shite load better than 100-120 like last year. I thought the offense made WVU's D look good at times last week, but MSU and OU's D are good.
