Super Quiet Generators

Any reviews for anything other than the Hondas? Generac or Ryobi?
All I will use it for 90% of the time is to run fans at baseball games, or small things like that. I see the off brands are about half the price of the Honda, but I dont want a 1-2 year generator either.

i have been running my $99 harbor freight 2 stroke special at baseball games for 2 years.
Pretty damn quiet and will run 2 box fans for over 3 hours on one gallon of gas/oil mix.

I second the harbor freight generator. My FIL has one and it works well and is fairly quiet.

If you are going to buy a generator spend the extra money and buy the Honda or Yamaha generators. They are quiet, sip gas, and worth every nickle.

$129.00 or cheaper with coupon
$699.00 or cheaper with coupon
Same wattage, same weight,Honda has built in inverter for delicate electronics such a tv's.
Your choice.

You do realize that is for the 100 watt generator and not the 2000 watt one you are probably used to seeing at tailgates and such right?
The EU2000 is usually around $900.00

1000 is probably all I'll need to run a fan or two??

Yamaha makes pretty damn good/quiet generators too.
Have you looked at them?

yeah but they appear to be as much as the Honda or more. About 750 is cheapest I have seen on either, and that is from website I'm not real sure I should trust.

I have a Generac iX800 and love it. Use it mainly for tailgating. Just a little bit louder than the honda/yamaha but very quite compared to most people out there. IMO it's worth it to get an inverter style so you can run electronics safely with it. Paid $330 with free shipping on amazon.

Have had a yamahammer 2000w for about 7-8 years. Bought it for night crappie fishing to run the lights on the pontoon. Very quiet (i think even quieter than honda) starts easy and can run several fans, tv, dvd, directv and lights w/ no problem.

I have a couple of Honda 2000s. I mainly used them this spring when a storm would roll through and knock our power out. One 2000, would run our fridge, tv, internet and aquarium. I was very surprised what all one would run.
If I need to I can connect the two and have 4000 watts.
They are extremely quiet and have definately been worth it.
Oh, as to how much gas they use, I would fill them up twice a day. 1 gallon tank on them I believe.
