I think that it's taken nearly a month to get Jefferson's side of the story, and that everyone that felt a need to decide guilt based on the only other information we've had up until this time were either silly or agenda driven.
That being said, my guess is the truth lies somewhere in-between the two accounts...and that JJ's play under center should never be taken into consideration when discussion whether or not he may or may not have done this.
I hope it gets dropped and the young man gets to experience Senior Day against Arkansas in Tiger Stadium.

i feel bad for JJ if this is truly how it went down. again, every story the truth is somewhere in the middle but based upon both reports, i would lean towards the latter being true.

As a human being, if he is in fact innocent, I hope the charges are dropped and JJ can put together a successful career and find happiness in his life.
As a fan, I hope he never plays another down of LSU football again. No hard feelings.

This reminds me of the scene in My Cousin Vinny where the judge asks Joe Pesci how does his client plead. "Mr. Unglesby, it appears to me that you want to skip the arraignment process and go directly to trial, skip that, and get a dismissal". "I'm not about to revamp the entire judicial process just because you find your self in the UNIQUE position of defending clients who say they didn't do it.".
Your Honor, my clients didn't do anything

yeah sure sounds like he got the raw end of the deal if thats how it went. Hope all is set straight then and he can continue with the team! He should be commended and apologized to if that were his true actions.

quote:Well done. As expected, and if accurate, indicates JJ was thoroughly hosed (NSS) by the BRPD. Probably to the point of significant liability on the part of BRPD officials.
What yall think?

LOL, and our thought NOPD had some serious question marks. If it happened here it might have not even made the news.

Sure that's the ticket! JJ is so pure he felt no need to take to police and was shocked to learn they wanted to ask questions. So shocked he hired a lawyer and took 5 days to go in to BRPD.
If I was innocent of everything I would have told the truth there would have been no evidence against me and I would have never been arrested.
Without a lawyer.

Honestly the team could get better with JJ if he comes back. Not as the starting QB. But against MSU there were times where they drove down the field and couldn't punch the ball in. Putting JJ in around the redzone or goal line occasionally would help the running game, IMO. Because they would have to watch for JJ running it and the option or he could throw it. Dont really have to watch for Lee running it.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of JJ as our QB, the situation is pretty messed up by the Baton Rouge Police.
Everyone knows that BR Police are natzi's, over react and rarely do a competent job.
If he gets a competent judge, it should be dismissed.

I feel the same way, but it has nothing to do with the fact that he's in legal trouble or any of that. He's just flat out not a good QB, I see nothing wrong with this point of view as long as the reasoning is something other than the legal issues.
