The reviews are starting to pour in....this on LINK in particular has me really excited. (about the original trilogy of course, I would prefer to believe that the other three movies do not exist).
Hope this is not :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse: ....just saw it and wanted to share.

If you were holding out hope that the original trilogy in all its untouched glory would be included here on Blu-ray via seamless branching technology, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. Almighty George has seen fit to base the new Blu-rays exclusively on the 1997 "Special Editions," including most of the additional changes from the 2004 re-release.

FML and George Lucas with a rusty chainsaw.

George Lucas should just die. He's just a fat facist pig at this point. Imagine what other directors could have done with this universe. Jorge though wasn't having any of that once Irvin Kershner, the guy who really knew what he was doing with the franchise, got more critically acclaimed than him. Jorge has gone on record saying that Empire is his least favorite Star Wars film.

I'm honestly shocked that we didn't see Yoda become completely digital. I really am.

Sorry to bump but I thought I read somewhere that he is completely CGI, and they've added in some scenes and dialogue

No way that could be true. That would be the biggest frick you George Lucas has ever done to us.

He's not CGI in Empire, he's still a puppet. If Yoda had been changed I'm sure the reviewer would have mentioned it as that would have been the BIGGEST change in the whole list of changes Lucas made for the blu-ray release.

Was going to buy off of Amazon this morning, but reviewers are really tearing Lucas apart.

This thing of Lucas' of fricking around with the movies every few years and putting them back up for sale is getting old. The stories are what they are. I have bought a couple of versions of this guy's tinkerings in the past. Enough! I will stay with my current DVD's.

If Lucas wants to sell more Star Wars, then perhaps he should get off his arse and write the scripts for the final three episodes. This guy was promising nine episodes back in 1977. Only seen six thus far. Problem is the actors are getting a little old.
