So Mett is still "learning the offense"

Please tell me how long that takes. Russell Wilson of Wisconsin started practice a few weeks ago with a new team and picked up on the offense pretty damn good. LSU's offense can't be that complicated, we run the toss dive 30 times a game. He cleary has a better arm and mechanics than lee, but to not give him a shot at starting because he is still learning is bull.

Patience is a virtue, brah.
Try it sometime.

I'll take me senior Qb with real experience against Bama/UF this year...come back next year with a kid who has had more time to develop.

Maybe Wisconsin was desperate.

You're comparing a guy in graduate school to somebody whose only a sophomore. Did you not see the play calling for Mett, they ran the same 5-6 plays

Just search for one of the many "retard claims Mett should start because of 11 passes against NSU" threads and youll know how these things end up and we can skip the torture of seeing you post any longer

I'm all for Lee starting but having Mett come in for a series in the first half to keep him engaged. I'm sure a college student can learn 10-15 plays for him to be effective.

Please explain. Experience in what? Being coached on the sideline to come in and throw a pass? If Lee is that talented why he could not beat out Jefferson. Again, that time to learn the offense is a bunch on BS. Les Miles does not want controversy at the QB position. Well won't be long before Mett comes in and seals the deal.

Is Miles on record as saying this is the reason?

Apparently years. He still hasn't faced an SEC defense (sarcasm)

that was stated in the spring. mett is talented, yes, but all he's done is play in the second half against a bad team, and not even have as good of numbers as the starter.
so i dont understand?

Cool post . Let's compare Russell Wilson going from the fricking ACC to the Big 10 to Mettenberger having zero SEC experience (when we have a very experienced quarterback in Lee)
Lee is 2-0 this season and has performed well thus far.
So, OP, you are suggesting that going from the ACC to the Big 10 (trash leagues) is just the same as a guy with no SEC experience coming in and taking over for a RS senior who has seen it all?
Is that right?

Why have a 2 qb rotation if the 1st qb is performing well enough. Change of pace with two throwing qb's doesn't make much sense.

Not really. You could make a case that no one ever totally learns the offense. Good players can pick it up quickly enough to be effective.

Generally have better QB's than the SEC. B10 does.

There are three certainties in life.
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. LSU fans will demand the backup QB start

So who thinks that the OC/QB coach goes to Miles and says Mett is the guy who gives us the best shot...
...and Miles says "frick that"...we're playing Lee.
Who really thinks that?
