mett should be the starter

there. i said. lee doesnt bring anything to the table that mett doesnt/cant. yes, lee is a 5th year senior, but he still doesnt have the demeanor of a national championship QB. he just doesnt. he looks afraid out there. he sees the rush coming and braces himself instead of getting rid of the ball or avoiding the sack.

and dont use lee's good statistical night as a point. anyone who watched the game knows how poorly his TD pass was, and how the he never throw the ball inside the hashes. we win in spite of lee


i would rather see mettenberger play this year and take a lump or 2, and set up the next 2 years, then to keep hoping lee doesnt frick the season up. we are sooo limited with lee. and for the record, i dont think we should bring in mett and run 5 wide and chuck the ball around all day. let him hand the ball off. let him do that stupid pitch-iso thats a staple of the playbook. but hes the guy we can win a BCS title with. lee just isnt.

and this isnt a jarret lee bashing thread. i appreciate the kid and his courage to stay at LSU. hes a good kid. i just dont think hes the best QB on this team. and i think its pretty obvious...
