That should be a hoot with the crew you have.

I almost loaded up and headed off to the camp at 5:30 when I woke up, but just couldn't muster it with another chief at my place calling me 8 times yesterday. He wanted to know when I was coming, what I was bringing, what to cook, areas to plant, skeet to shoot, plumbing parts needed for bathroom, etc.

I am better off staying home and getting orders from the Mrs than hunting with this lunatic. October will be my month when no one else is there. I sharpened broadheads last night and oiled down my .17.

I wouldnt figure you would bother with the broadheads as long as you had the .17!

Well 4LSU2 and El Josey Wales,

Its been your typical cluster of a morning. After first few passes on the fisrt stand of bush hogging the front tire when down for good so didn't do much cutting and discing. Pretty typical with the old POS we r using. Did some trimming and now headed back in to town. The big Chief is going to try to get that tire fixed and do some discing. Me and Ole Bud are headed to the grove with Chuck!!!

Did not go to the camp, but spent most of the day clearing walkin trails and planting personal food plots in the Lafourche Parish swamps along the Intracoastal Waterway. The site is accessed only by water and then by walking. Planted mustard greens and five lbs. of iron clay peas. The ground was very wet after the recent rains, and I smashed the peas into the mud; it really works but is a lot of work. Next weekend I will go to Missippi to plant food plots in the piney woods.
