that everyone knows that the Big 12 is dead and that Baylor can't hold it together forever. And that when it goes, Baylor is going to need a conference to land in. Then Slive just needs to tell Starr that if he persists in this crap, the SEC will make sure that Baylor is blackballed from ANY conference membership by simply telling the various conferences that any conference that includes Baylor, WILL NEVER be scheduled to play a game with an SEC team.

You must think Slive is an idiot if that is a real option and he couldn't come up with it on his own.

Or maybe, just maybe, you are bat**** ****ing crazy.

I love every minute of this.

Baylor is pushing around A&M. Baylor is dictating policy to the SEC. In a million years, I would have never predicted this.

Seriously? It's been 24 hours. Wait til the gloves come off. You at least try to negotiate before you bring in the sharpshooter to put a bullet in the terrorist's head.

I think A&M will eventually find its way to the SEC. Still, 1 day of being pushed around by Baylor is too much. This is an absolute humiliation.

Humiliation for Baylor, yes. As far as A&M and the SEC, I don't find it humiliating. BU would do the same to OU or UT if it made concrete plans to leave.

i don't blame Baylor. they are acting in their best interest and need to do so for the survival of their athletic department. they also stand a good chance to get a nice payout to walk away, which is better than nothing. also, not waiving your right doesn't mean you'll sue. normally, you compensate someone to waive this right. Slive knew this was a strong possibility, which is why he placed these conditions on how to proceed w/ A&M. However, if you want to get down to political hardball, A&M's ace might be engaging George H.W. Bush to talk w/ Starr, the man he appointed to be Solicitor General and probably helped through out his career. Even though Starr is hated by the SEC (and Democrats), he's probably earned a lot of respect from Baylor Alumni, which is who he works for.

It's a losing game for Baylor. Instead of finding themselves members of a conference that no longer exists and having to land in the WAC or CUSA or something like that, they are going to find themselves without a conference and unable to get an invite anywhere.

So, they need to enjoy it while they can because when it is all said and done, there will be a picture of Baylor and Ken Starr next to the definition of "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

No! That is what Star lives for! We've stated our position, this battle is for A&M. If we don't expand we are still the best FB conference. We just need to wait it out and let Baylor stomp their feet until the have to face the facts.

Get out of here with that bullshite.

IMO humiliation is stomping around the BIG12-2-1 like you own it, signing a big tv deal, and then watching it all crumble because of your greed and arrogance.

Yeah, but he isn't an Aggie. You guys have never been known for being on the cutting edge out ahead of trends or for being particularly smart either.

An Arky talking about smarts. That's like Emmanuel Lewis talking about HGH.
