Exactly. Ignores absolute numbers. There are more people in the Chicago metro area than Alabama and Mississippi combined. And that's not even the largest city above the Mason-Dixon line....

Both the husband (Michigan) and I agreed Bama/Ttown is the pinnacle of college football roadtrips. Loved tailgating, loved the stadium, loved the fans and atmosphere, loved Archibalds and Waysider (sat at Bear's table)-just had a great time. Agreed. The problem is segregation (whether natural or forced). The most racist person I've ever met in my life was from Mississippi.
