I think losing a playmaker like Shepard is more detrimental than losing JJ. I think he was set an outbreak year especially with a pocket passer at QB now.

We may actually be better at WR too because of all of this. RS was forced out there last year but now you'll have Wright, Boone, Fobbs, OBJ, Landry (possibly), that are all true WRs.

Shep is one of my favorite players. the kid is a play maker and is willing to adapt in whatever way necessary.

Certainly has more big play potential. But I'm not so worried with the amount of young talent we have at skill positions on offense. Still will have plenty of playmakers on offense.

I think we're better with Lee, but I am in the minority.

We scored a lot his freshman year we just had no defense. With Kragthorpe helping, more maturity, and being really in shape like he is I think he is going to do just fine. I just hope he doesn't get hurt.

RS missing will hurt more by a long shot IMO.

hacker u are right to an extent, i am more concerned about shep being out but still think we will kick arse in the wide receiver spot without him and might just open up a whole new game with a true passer under center. we will be better as a result of all this

I think the loss of Russell Shepard is a big non-issue. He's kind of like the Reggie Bush of LSU.

We shall see if we suffer in his absence. But probably not too much. He is more of an accessory.

:kige:

JJ to JL is a lateral move. There's no drop off.

I know we have a lot of young talent at WR but he gives you a lot of options and can break it at any time. I am just a fan of Shepard and hate to see this happen to him.

His speed will be missed because he may the only one fast enough to stop the pick sixes.

the world will think so, but LSU fans that follow recruiting and LSU football more closely know differently

I actually think the offense will be better without JJ, and probably won't miss much without Shepard but he is still a guy that can take it to the house on any play from a variety of positions.
