Jerryworld

I wonder how hogs feel giving up conference game home and home now for next 7 years?

Wont happen, both teams make money off that game and Jerry will push to make it a perm neutral site game.

(At least I see it that way)

Jerryworld will have to pony up some megabucks for that to happen. If he can make it more profitable for the schools than a home and home then consider it a done deal.

I believe A&M and Ark get $5mil per game for the series. More than OU/Texas for their neutral site game.

As long as they keep paying that, I'm sure it'll stay in Dallas. Besides, A&M and Ark both like the recruiting presence

Arky especially. That's what hurt them about the SEC move -- losing access to Texas recruits.

A&M likes the recruiting presence in Dallas, too. When the SWC imploded, A&M lost two solid DFW games (TCU and SMU).

The SWC Classic has benefits for both Arkansas and A&M.

If anything, it might mean we move the LSU game to
Fayetteville and change how we deal with Little Rock.

We currently give LR one SEC game per year. That might change if we wind up having just 3 home SEC games in Fayetteville, due to one being played in Arlington.

Playing the game in Dallas means more for us in the recruiting world in Texas than playing in College Station. Considering how hard we worked just to get the game in the first place, I imagine we will find a way to keep it there at least for the length of the current contract.

I worry more about playing LSU at Reliant Stadium in Houston. It would be a convenient location for both fanbases, but I'd rather have home & home visits.

I don't like only having 6 home games this year.

I'm fine with it. Nothing changes for us really. We have a large alumni base in DFW and it's a relatively easy drive from most places in AR. We can play them there forever for all I care.

I know that Arkansas plays several of its games in Little Rock every year but are there any other games between SEC teams that play at a neutral site every year?

Outside of the Little Rock games I believe UGA-UF in Jacksonville is the only other conference game at a neutral site.

And Texas-OU at the Cotton Bowl (which started out as an OOC but later became a conference matchup).

I was talking about SEC conference games. There are plenty of neutral site conference games in other conferences outside the SEC.

The "don't call it the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" is always in Jacksonville, FL, as opposed to Athens or Gainsville.

My post was somewhat misunderstood. I mean giving up a game like Oregon to Dallas makes me sick when I look at our home schedule this year.

I fear with aggy coming in there will be this constant money pressure to play more and more games away from TS.

It started with last year's NC game it Atlanta. STOP IT DAMNIT.
