I would LOVE this to happen, especially since I live in the Raleigh area however I don't see it, even though NC State is the red-headed stepchild to UNC and Duke.

i would rather have:
UVA/VA Tech together.
UNC / Duke together
WVU
FSU
GA Tech
OU and OSU together
Southern Miss(just kidding)

I like 'em. Assuming we couldn't get Va Tech or UNC. It expands the conference into fertile recruiting territory and gives us a team that is usually good but not so great they make it impossible to win. In other words, they are the eastern equivalent of A&M.

For the SEC not to have a school in the state of North Carolina is just silly. The Market share of NC is better than Miss and Ala combined. NCST is the only ACC school really worth taking. They are the state school, and yet stepchild to UNC and Duke and get the noses of Wake alums turned up at them. They would be a prefect fit.

I wouldnt mind having NC State. Like a previous poster said, they are the red-headed stepchild of UNC and Duke, so I could see them wanting to stick it to those guys and move along. Plus, they used to be a bitter rival of ours back in the ACC days. We have played them more than any other school except Clemson and UGA.

I have no problem with NCState or UNC. It's not that I have a problem with NCState I would just prefer to line the conference with more competitive football teams so not to dilute the strength/prestige of the SEC. UNC has a stronger FB program (or at least did before getting busted this past season). Either way I think North Carolina should have a team in the SEC. I mentioned in another thread that a NC school would be a great rivalry for USCe.
