There is a place in New Roads that sells it in super sacks (2,000lbs). Corn, Soybeans, and Rice Bran. Last year it was $165 for a super sack of corn, $560 for soybeans, and $7.50/50lb sack for rice bran. Probably a little more expensive this year.

Damn that is a good price less than $5/50lbs of corn from your last year prices. Problem is storing 2k pounds of corn.

It is the equivalent of 5 50 gallon drums, but I know not everyone has those readily available.

that isn't too bad then. Will they load it in the drums for you or does it come in a huge sack like the ones the corps drops on levees?

Not really sure. A club I was in got some a few years back, but I didn't go with them. I called them last year to get the prices, but ended up not buying any.

I'd imagine they'd load it for you because they sell it in individual bags too.

Call up Atlas Feed Mill in Breaux Bridge. They(at one time) stocked a shitload of pickling barrels and sold them for about $15 a piece. They were probably 55-75 gallons and would hold 4-6 50lb sacks of cattle feed with screw on lids. We used them to store and transport all our cattle/pig feed. Great way to store grain/feed. Heck I think I still have a few laying around.

Followed somebody all the way down pickneyville road on the way to the camp with his bed loaded with corn like that...kernels were constantly falling out and bouncing off the road and hitting the windshield. Thought they were rocks until I realized they were disintegrating when they hit the truck
