Last year down in Maimi wife and I ate at a little Peruvian place. Its was my first experience, but we both really enjoyed it. So last night we hit up a local Peruvian place since we had a groupon for it. Again, we both though it was excellent. Will definately be going back. I am planning on trying to find the recipies for some of the dishes and sauces, especially the creamy yellow pepper sauce.

I've only had it once and coincidentally it was in Miami as well. I enjoyed it, we had a roasted chicken dish that was quite good. Otherwise it seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary from what we get in local Spanish restaurants here in Tampa.

We have a few places here in Houston that are pretty good for Peruvian food-The Lemon Tree and Latin Bites Cafe. Lomo saltado, tacu tacu, causitas, fried rice, all pretty good...but I enjoy the ceviche most at both restaurants.

Trouble is, the word has gotten out about Latin Bites which is a small place to begin with...so getting a table is like getting an 8:30 res at Dorsia.

I wouldn't mind going there to try actual real ceviche since it sounds and looks awesome. Can't trust it anywhere not on the pacific with the right limes tho.

Wiltznucs - this place we went to last night was El Warike in Bradenton, not too far from you I believe.

I'm not very far from there and I'm familiar with the location. I've not ate there, but the locals really like it and I've heard good things. I'll have to check it out..
