I wouldn't take offense. Bertman has been bashed, Mainieri has been bashed, Miles has been bashed...and they've all won championships. JJ has his supporters and his detractors.

Joker, I agree 1000% but there is a small group of posters here who loathe JJ and while I respect most of their thoughts, some just hate him and I cannot understand how we would feel this way about any LSU player...but it is what it is and last year it was 11-2...for me that is more than enough to support every player and coach...

I'm sure every fat out of shape dork or skinny nerd on this board would have gotten that one right....oh wait they never have or will be on national tv because they are way too smart to play football. I have no agenda against JJ and fully support him as the LSU QB if he does his job well. Unfortunately, he has proven to be rather ineffective and so I am in full support of letting others get their shot.
I'm not sure what is worse, the senseless bashing of JJ or those who knight up for JJ every time someone criticizes him (regardless of if it was a legit criticism or not).

Be careful what you wish for. I assume you are hoping for Mett to be QB1.
Keep this in mind: Soph's don't win the BCS championships. It has never happened. Every BCS championship has been won by an upperclassman at QB with multiple years in their systems (Cam is the exception, of course.)
I'd rather see JJ turn the corner of finish strong...BCS Title Strong.

Is it fair to say this group has not set the world on fire with regards to NFL performance? I don't really care, as I am a bigger fan of college football than pro. However, with the exception of freakish athletes like Young, Tebow and Newton, most are system quarterbacks, or otherwise benefited from being in a strong program, surrounded by good players and their best asset was probably between their ears.
