IS drinking day old already made coffee bad for you???

I love coffee but never really figured out if old coffee is bad to drink??? I'm guessing not since I haven't had to call 911 for drinking old coffee but still unsure.

Probably too much information, but old coffee tends to give me the runs, more so than regular coffee. Also, coffee is pretty quick to mold.

I've drank about 10 hour old coffee. I thought it tasted kinda stale at first, but maybe it was all in my head.

No, but coffee made yesterday can make you very sick.

I'm a coffee junkie...I always leave about a cup in the pot in the mornings when i leave for work..That way, whenever I wake up the next morning for work, I have a cup already made that I either microwave or just chug cold while I make a fresh pot.......

See, I told you I was a junkie

My girl sometimes reheats the coffee in the pot from the day before and she is fine but I personally dont trust it.

I sometimes pour leftover coffee (only a couple hours old) into something & refrigerate it to warm up later. (I'm sure it tastes different to some people, but I can't tell the difference.)

But I wouldn't drink coffee that had been sitting out since yesterday.

Not a junkie. You're just lazy.

So guess it doesn't hurt then.

I bought a Keurig last year so I don't make entire pots anymore.

I was being a smartass re: the subject of the thread's wording. As long as it hasn't molded it should be fine. But like someone said, coffee and tea ftm, do grow mold fairly quickly.

Buy whole beans, grind them and brew it fresh with distilled water. This is not difficult, folks. And it beats the hell out of day old coffeee or Keurig. I can't figure out which is worse.

ETA: If y'all are beer drinkers you might as well drink Pabst Blue Ribbon if you're asking questions like these.

I just did a quick search and the first 2 links recommends NOT using distilled water because it lacks the minerals needed to bring the flavor of the coffee out.

Maybe, but that's still way over the head of anyone who drinks day old coffee. Or Keurig coffee.
