This is a non-issue. Tanner has no vote. He was only expressing his opinion. He could say that publicly if he chose. The comittee either agrees with him or they do not. How could this backfire?

I don't know, just seems like a conflict on interest. I'm sure it's nothing, but at the same time CPM shouldn't be broadcasting it to anyone who will listen.

I think he absolutely should.
Tanner doesn't care...he's way above that. This is an opportunity for Mainieri to make some noise and make sure that LSU is getting full consideration.

Tanner is only a regional adviser to the 10 man NCAA Tournament Selection Committee, There are NO SEC REPRESENTATIVES ON THE COMMITTEE ?? If the committee is made up fully or partially from conference reps how could the NCAA leave out the SEC , the best baseball conference from top to bottom and whose fan base has made collegiate baseball into the success it's become! 
I'm sure the NCAA makes sure the BIG 10 has no reps on issues dealing with collegiate hockey ?
