did a search found zilch on the subject. I got inspired on another board. They look meaty but i'm a little turned off by the number of bones and blood line. It also looks like after carving it up you throw 75% of the fish away.

didnt click the link but saw something a few weeks back about cleaning them. It does take some carving and there is a lot of throw away but as big as they are and plentiful you should be able to fill a freezer with a few trips up and down the river

Never had a live one big enough to eat. THe reading I did when we first discovered them at the camp sounded like they may start farm raising them to sell as a commercial restaurant fish

LA seafood promotion and marketing started this campaign last year to try and get people to eat asian carp. they renamed it "silver fin" to try and ease things over - dont think it really ever caught on like they wanted. supposedly the meat tastes somewhere between a scallop and crabmeat. Google "Louisiana seafood + silver fin" and you should get plenty more info
