Confused about the amount of people at the Crimson tide spring game. The April 25th edition of Sports Illustrated has a picture of the game on page 8 and 9. The caption says there were 93,310 in attendance. They must have all went to the "john" when this picture was taken.

Or it could have been towards the end of the game. Crazy possibility, I know.

They sell it out every year. That pic was probably very late in the game.

What the hell is our problem we can't get 25 k and it's free. Lsu has some candy arse fans I will say that. If you paid people to come you couldnt get 50k. I don't get it.

because its the spring game plus most lsu football fans are also lsu baseball fans and that is during SEC play. The fact is no better fans when it counts in the fall stop crying. I would also say the photo was probably taken late in the Alabama spring game.

First of all, did you go?

Second, Alabama hasn't ALWAYS sold out their spring games. They used to put 25,000 to 50,000 before they bought their way into Sabans life. As a matter of fact, this business of making a big deal about spring game attendance is a NEW thing... created by a bunch of rednecks who wanted to watch a guy walk up and down a football field in a straw hat, not to watch practice football.

they said that during the game too. they had a hell of a lot more people there than LSU did, but it wasn't close to 92k imo

Simple explanation: Bama uses the same accounting firm for attendance figures that they use to keep track of their national championships. I forget the name of the firm, but they used to keep books for Enron!

It's a spring game! Geez..... you're after this like it was the SEC championship game or something.

It's a televised practice.

That being said, I'm not dumping on it (the spring game) at all. I was going to go to it but I had to pick between that or the Northwestern state/LSU baseball game the following Tuesday.

I can't speak for everyone but for me, it's a 2 hour drive to BR and a 2 hour drive back home. And the way gas prices are.....

Ease up.

I can care less what Bama does at their spring games. <---(and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.)

If I may add to this..... and expect some "holy shite" plays.

Well said ATL.

Damn.

Plus I had to go to the Northwestern State game because I got to walk into the trophy room, meet Miles (again) and I got a media pass for the rest of the home baseball games. I'm not trying to say, "well look what I got..... too bad you suck" kinda thing.
Not at all. I was in the right place at the right time. That's all.
I'm no better than anyone else on here.

It looks like people have figured out saban's system. I hope this years football team is not jinxed by the worst basketball 2 year record in 50 years plus the no good 2011 baseball team. ala. is a very desperate state and out to lunch. The top football college average salary outside the SEC is maybe $2.1 million but ala. doubled that to get saban. Now they added on 2 more million.

As an Lsu fan that went to school at LSU, Bama sells out the spring game every year since little Nicky got there. U must have been looking at the last 2 minutes.
