The Ascend FS12. much nicer than my old one. I've only used it one time but it was nice.

It is very very comfortable. I even pulled it out of the kayak and was sitting on it in the garage.

the ascend is very nice. comfy, spacious, lots of storage, nice dry bag for phones etc, cup holder, 3 rod holders, anchor, etc.

I'm fairly outdoorsy and really dig things like this, but I've never really kayaked before. I really need to make friends with someone that has, and then try some out. I'm one of those guys that hate making a purchase without trying it out first. I'm sure I'd like yours...but I don't know about paying the full listed price there. 40% off sounds nice.

if you're in baton rouge, the backpacker does kayak demo's at the LSU lakes. I think its every saturday but you could give them a call and see. they you try them out. If I were in town now I'd say meet me there and you could try it.
