Looks pretty good. The apes look creepy, but very realistic as well. I could see this prequel working.

I thought the ape at the very end was going to speak!
If anything this is a remake of the Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Where the son of the murdered time traveling apes is the smartest ape on the planet and starts an uprising of lab apes.

Yeah, this is basically a remake not a prequel. The original title of this project was Caesar who was the smart ape from Conquest.
The effects looked really good with the apes.

It has my attention. Not completely sold yet as I think it might be a little slow, but hopefully the apes increased intelligence happens quickly and the action picks up. Think I'll check it out though.

But goddamn.....it's prolly gonna be an epic flop at the box office.
Besides hardcore nerds and POTA fans I just don't see who this movie appeals to.
The action looks meh, and I don't think people will fill the theater to watch CGI apes running around modern day san francisco.
I like Franco but he isn't gonna sell tickets.
And the studio is Fox, whose reputation speaks for itself.
I may see it if it gets good reviews, but I just can't see this thing making money.

Trailer did creep me out a little bit with the apes in the real world and everything. But it definitely looks interesting.
