Turkey hunt- snakes

Those of you still turkey hunting, keep your eyes open. These guys are crawling around and can be very hard to see. This guy almost got me and my buddy up in Tunica WMA. First rattler I've come across up there and I hope it's the last.

We killed 4 at the hunting camp in MS last year before it got cold. One was 4 feet long. Makes me wanna invest in a quality pair of snake boots for work days/early season.

I used to have a pair of Herman Survivors. Not even sure they make em anymore. Damn good comfy boot. I used wear them all day hunting (chasing) blue quail.

Nope, didn't move or make a sound until we hit him with the stick. My buddy was one step from being on top of him.
