Hornet's Magic Number

I thought I heard the Hornet's magic number to make the playoffs was 3 before tonight game against the Pacers. Can anyone confirm this?
If so, could they clinch a playoff spot with a victory against Houston on Wednesday night? They would hold a 3-1 series advantage against Houston if they ended the season tied with them and Houston currently is the only team outside the first 8 that have a chance to make the playoffs.

Yea I talk to him pretty often, every couple weeks. I think he'll be in town this weekend.
Yea they have, the slow start really hurt..I don't think they'll have many problems with the bees on wednesday.

Rockets are finished. Hornets can wrap it up Wednesday or go 2-3, and that includes games against Phoenix, Utah, and the Dallas scrubs.
