And the writer put up on his twitter if you were to click the links that he confirmed it was Lyles who the friend was...

It is going to be interesting as to the reaction of so many LSU fans that would have been on their knees for PP during the season if these stories do have any meat on the bones.

yea....he amazingly "confirmed" it about 2 days ago. What a coincedence considering the story was written 3 years ago. Although he won't say how he "confirmed" it. And Peterson is also quoted in the article as saying it was his dads "friend"...not his.

Annoyingly enough, nothing was actually confirmed. Yes, he confirmed that he wrote the article, but there's not a single mention of Willie Lyles in all of that webpage. Anywhere.

Nah, I didnt get a chance to see it. I believe we have some things on our side with this situation, however. With the focus being squarely on the back of Auburn and the NCAA president hopefully being on our side.

Why would you just "confirm" something of this magnitude on your twitter?
If this Aggie writer seriously made the connection that Peterson had a serious relationship with Lyles than write a story on it, or go more into detail. Don't just link one of your articles from 3 years ago and say "this is who I meant when I said friend" on your twitter account.

If his confirmation is just a link to an article he wrote 3 years ago without a single mention of the name Lyles, he doesn't seem too keen on what the word "confirmation" means. I've read the article a few times now. Saying "a friend of Peterson's dad" doesn't translate into Lyles by any means.
