but seriously, bad move on tennessee's part. they were nothing in recent history before he got there

Yeah, every team needs a coach that is going to get them on NCAA probation for blatantly violating NCAA rules and then lying to the NCAA about it...

no doubt.
some folks haven't been paying attention. and again, this goes back to that Tressel discussion... very similar situations and many thought Tenn would eventually fire Pearl because of it.

Yet sweatervest keeps on keepin' on....

It was during his Iowa tenure that Pearl recorded a phone conversation with recruit Deon Thomas about Thomas' recruitment by rival Illinois. Pearl turned the recording over to the NCAA, which investigated and uncovered unrelated recruiting violations by Illinois.

Maybe Ill will hire him.........
