Had to fly to Tampa tonight on business and the Gators baseball team was on the same flight. Good group of kids. I identified myself as a Tiger Fan / Alum etc., and congratulated them on the wins this weekend (refrained from talking any smack or Tiger Baiting them considering we'd just gotten handled). Regardless, it was "yes, sir", "no, sir", and "thank you very much". When I wished them good luck in Omaha, the reply was, "I hope we make it".

On another matter, the bat girl and several GF's were onboard as well. Yet another group with talent....

You guys are slacking....no "CSB"'s yet?

I really do enjoy when college kids have class and represent their school well. For the most part, all of LSU's teams are that way too when you see them in public.

Sound like a good group of guys. I hate the team they play for but I'm not gonna be an idiot, they're damn good.

Can't fault them for going to play for a University that pays for their schooling to out and do something they love all year long.

Not everyone is as lucky as you are Golfer to rack up SkyMiles and fly wherever they please.

GNV is a dump. Makes BTR look like a world class airport...don't necessarily blame them. JAX is closer though, so I should probably offer to work in their travel dept.

This. And I think they close at sundown. Not much traffic in and out of that place and what does come in/out are fairly small planes. It is probably hard to get 30 or so members of a travel party all on one flight in there.

I'm assuming they fly DL, which only sends CRJ200's to/from ATL. Those only hold 50 IF they aren't weight restricted. TPA is a long haul from GNV, though.

I remember one of the last games at the Old Box. We're out in the left field bleachers and Jared Mitchell and Leon Landry are tossing the ball back and forth warming up before the game. My nephew knew Leon from baseball camp so they were talking to the crowd a little, smiling and laughing and throwing a ball around in a great old stadium filled with wonderful and appreciative fans, on the greenest grass you've ever seen, on a perfect spring afternoon.

It's not often you get to see someone truly happy, and I turned to my buddy and said, "There are probably worse ways to spend four years".

Go Tigers!

Thye were nice cause they had just swept our arse in our own house...

The fans usually handle it much worse than the kids.
