"Contrary to published reports, I have no interest in leaving LSU for another school," Johnson said in the release. "We are in the process of building a championship program at LSU, and I am committed to seeing that through. We have great resources, wonderful fans and a rich history upon which to build a program that can compete for championships and graduate our players. LSU is where I want to build and sustain that kind of program."

That's real nice, but really, where was he going to go? Who really thinks that Utah was going to pay a coach who has won 5 SEC games in the last 2 years?

Delaying the inevitable, i guess the rumors were bullshite, really when you think about it the AD would have gotten his nuts handed to him for hiring a guy who has won 5 conference games in two years, in a league where the divisional champ didn't even get in the dance. Hell Utah fired the coach because he had TWO losing seasons in a row. Very wishful thinking. Utah knew better. I gaurantee you there is more to this story.
