Cant decide if I want to go PC or Console. Games are almost always better on PC but sitting back on my couch w a PS3 remote has a lot of appeal. The demo actually felt a little smoother on the PS3 but the graphics were kinda lame, very pixilated.
Any of you having the same dilemma?

Unless they made major improvements since the first one to the console versions as far as ease of use during combat, pc all the way.

I typically prefer console, but PC was the definitive version of the first one, and it will be for the second as well. The difficulty on the console version was scaled down tremendously because you simply could not respond quickly enough in battle without CONSTANTLY pausing the battle. That won't change.

Good to know, I never played the console version on DAO. I just hope there is improved loot in 2, it seemed like in DAO I got most of my gear in the beginning and could not find replacements/upgrades until the very end.

Download the demo. The devs said they built this one from the ground up with console in mind. Demo plays more like a hack and slash but there are options to slow it down for more strategic play.

DA2 was designed to play on consoles. DA1 was a PC game that got an ugly port to consoles.

Not much of a PC gamer so I played DA1 on 360. Still plaid the hell out of it even after I found out that it was an all around better experience on PC.
I am also understanding that DA2 is built for console play which makes me happy.

IMO, if they really put a big focus on the console version it is going to hurt the game (coming from a console guy). The controls are the only huge difference, and they will have to dumb down the battle system to make the controls more console-friendly.

You may want to play the demo first to test out the new fighting system. I personally enjoy it a lot more than DA:O. Fighting has a more "God of War" feel to it. Some will love it, others will hate it.

I loved the first one. It was one of the few games I had to play multiple times(mostly just to see the different origin stories).

Neither of these were the problem with Origins. The problem with Origins was glitches that made quests uncompleteable, and caused game crashes.

I went ahead and bought the PC version and upgraded my video card to a 570 GTX. I am downloading the 1 gig texture pack now and the nvidia beta drivers designed for DA2.
I played both demos, I liked the PS3 combat but the graphics were pretty lousy and it felt way easier than the PC demo. I crushed that troll before Flemmeth without a scratch.
