Anybody else been to this place? I went last week and I have to say I was impressed. It's fricking insane if you like food. It's basically an Italian food mall. There's a butcher, fish monger, pasta shop, wine shop, cheese, produce, coffee, candies, all sorts of condiments, and a whole bunch of shite in there, in addition to four or five restaurants and a wine/salumi bar. I wandered around the place for an hour or so, then sat down at one of the bars and had some wine, cheese and salumi with my wife.

Oh, and if you're a single guy and find yourself in southern Manhattan, go to Terroir wine bar in Tribeca. I had a couple of glasses of wine there with my wife on Thursday night and the place was packed with hot younger women. I think there was one or two other guys in the place.

Sounds awesome. I'm going to check this out next month. Y'all try any of the restaurants out ?

I went in October and I loved it. Bought loaf of bread, cheese, and salami and had lunch in Union Square. Cool experience but was very crowded at the time.

We had reservations somewhere else, so we just had a snack. I went on a Friday night and it was packed.

I want to know how often you are in NYC? You've always got great advice about places to go/eat.

interesting concept but it's pretty overpriced. you can get the same stuff cheaper if you buy it piecemeal in separate places. of course that's the draw of it.. an all-in-one stop for all manner of food and wine.
the only time i went i found it kind of gimmicky. much like the Chelsea Market.

it's great if you go for dinner. when i went with my family we went pretty late for dinner around like 9. the pizza is awesome and so is the pasta. Lidia knows her shite lol. if you ever have been to Becco's that is also a great restaurant in the city
