What would the show be like if we checked in on the Barones 6 years later?
~Ray and Debra are now divorced as Ray finally had enough of her constant bitching.
~Ray is recently remarried to someone who appreciates him more and likes his family. She also knows how to cook.
~Frank is dead. Marie is in assisted living apartments.
~Deb moved to Jersey where she got involved with a younger man who led her down a path of drugs and alcohol and eventually left her. Because of this Ray and his wife were awarded full custody of the twins.

I had never watched this until less than a year ago.
It's actually one of the few sitcoms of the past 20 years I can stand.

I love this show. My second favorite comedy series only behind Seinfeld.
I'm sure Ray and Debra would still be together but they would be dealing with their now-teenage daughter. Lots of stories and drama can take place there.
I'm sure there would be a few new characters as well, maybe a new neighbor or something.
Oh, and since Frank died in real life, I think Marie would be living with Ray and Debra now. Some of the earlier episodes of the show discussed this exact same scenario.

Ray's daughter would be sleeping around, one of his sons would be having panic attacks, and Ray decides to get a colonoscopy with a bunch of his friends. Oh wait that's Men of a Certain Age.
