maybe college baseball history

could be the greatest moment in LSU sports history

but with baseball season starting in 5 days I thought I should go ahead and post this video

1996 CWS bottom of the 9th inning

Can't argue with your choice but there have been several incrediable innings over the years. Games against Long Beach State, Texas A&M. Stanford, Rice, all come to mind.

But yours may be the best.

I don't want to argue I just wanted it as intro to a great video.

but even though those are great innings of baseball the simple fact we down by one hit a 2 run home run to win the college world series.

btw some of those games are on you-tube the entire inning I think as well. LSU has some storied history

A distant second may be the game against Fresno State in the 1997 NCAA Regional Championship. LSU put up 7 runs to go up 14-7 late in an elimination game.

The inning we finally broke out against Mark Prior and USC in the 2000 CWS should garner some consideration.

That was the greatest inning because of course it was for the national championship. But the best inning production wise was the regional against Ga. Tech when the Tigers scored 18 runs on 13 hits in the 8th inning. I was at that game and had a creak in my neck turning from side to side watching balls go to the fence, or over it.

Thanks for sharing. I have seen the home run replay many times, but never the entire inning. What a great Tiger moment to re-live.

One of my favorites was the 1st inning in the last game at the box against UC Irvine.
Back to back to back HR's and a perfect ending to put the Box to rest!!!!!!

Wasn't there a LSU player that made 2 outs in that inning?

Think you have to watch the video to see who that player was

You know, with all of those 9th inning comebacks we have over the years, when you are an opponent up by 1 in the bottom of the 9th, you have to be freaking out mentally.

Funniest inning was the few innings we had against GA Tech in the regionals.

this was my favorite inning that I got to see in person. The box was waiting to come alive after being shut down for almost 2 games.

The Ga. Tech inning is awesome for its own reasons, but being present at the Old Box for the Game 2 9th inning comeback against Irvine is my favorite.

the 9th vs miami will always be tops because of the magnitude, but the rally vs irvine is right up there along with the stanford one! cant forget about end to Rice game w deans hit or the 80's stunner vs Ta&m, Larsons bomb vs rice too. LSU baseball has been incredible with tear jerker moments! to this day I still get chills from Joey Belles bomb vs Miami even though it was in a loss, as well as being 1 out away from title shot and big ben giving up the granny! I hope these wiffle ball bats dont ruin game
