Michael Douglas playing the brooding rich millionaire...check
David Fincher...check
Practically implausible ending that I love anyway...check

Love this movie. It's on Showtime right now, havent seen it in forever.

ETA: I guess "rich millionaire" is pretty redundant.

Holy shite! I saw it at the movies in 1997 and never all this time realized it was David Fincher. In any event, it was a really good concept and fairly well-executed. The ending was just a little too pat for me to give it the full thumbs up, though.

SPOILERS

Yeah, the ending works out too perfectly for Michael Douglas' character/the climax, but hey, I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Great movie. Supposedly Criterion and Fincher are working on a blu ray upgrade on the negative, and it will be released in the next year or two. Fincher has said that he has wanted to revisit this film and clean it up, like he did with Seven. With Criterion putting it out it should be an amazing treatment of the film.

I love the movie even though the ending it pretty absurd. There are so many ways people could have been hurt or killed. However, I am willing to overlook those things.

I watch it about once a year and anytime I spot it on cable.

I can't believe you and I agree on so many movies, yet disagree so much about the hangover.

Nobody plays a wealthy white a-hole as well as Michael Douglas. Nobody.

James Coburn plays the Old West wealthy white a-hole really well.

I went and saw this my Senior year of High School with a slight buzz and remember being totally mind fricked(I don't even think I watched the ending). I see it's coming on tomorrow so I'm gonna DVR it and watch it a little more closely this time.
