Crowton on Miles: I always felt like we were on the same page. He was the head coach and I worked for him. The direction he wanted to go on offense, I was appreciative of that, and and I saw what he wanted to accomplish.

If Crowton were allowed full reigns would things have been different? Will the new OC be given full reigns?

just says to me that our coaches (or ex coaches) seem to have more class than our fans

I thought this paragraph was more telling. He also said he accepted Maryland because Edsall will allow him to go more wide open. Tells me he was trying to do something he was not naturally comfortable with. I say good riddance to "wide open".

Crowton's wide-open offense is pass happy. We haven't had a QB to run that offense in 3 years. Sucks for him that he couldn't adapt to what we had. I wish him well but hope the door doesn't hit him in the arse.

who's to say it wouldn't have been worse if Crowton were allowed full reigns?

Most HCs step in when stuff isn't working.....not when it is.

No, this is coachspeak. When a coach leaves like most fans and the head coach wanted and gets another position, this is pretty typical of the kind of statements you hear.

Trust me. In the SEC, it's all about consistency. If you listen to Danielson, Herbsteit, etc..even with Malzahn's, Meyer's, Mullen's etc, they all move off the power running game. Crowton-Mr. 5 Wide always put us in poor positions due to crazy formations and putting "young" QBs in a position to fail..

WHAT A GREAT DAY

My guess is we will find out next year.
