Got to be impressed with that D against Cam but think we will be special with anyone coaching us. We have more talent than we have ever had.

Won't be as bad as you think...Verge Ausberry talked to my class and he said "Let me tell you a secret, Oregon graduates 24 seniors who have played significant time. LSU will graduate only 5."

Yep, Oregon loses 5 starters on offense and 6 on defense.

And they won't have much film on how LSU runs the new offense under the new coach. Advantage LSU.

Tough yes. But more appeal than opening with Troy state. Bring it on!

If Les is staying, I like our chances. Never lost an opener and only lost one bowl game. When he has time to prepare they usually win, 11-1

I don't like LSU playing these openers against non rent-a-wins. For the last 20 years or so, we haven't done so hot when we open against BCS teams. The only one I can think of is Miss. St, in 2007.

Worst is, after Auburn wins tonight, we'll be expected to win because we're SEC

Try Arizona St., Washington, UNC, and Miss St. I can tell you don't watch much LSU Football!

There is a difference between a loss and "not being so hot". Arizona St. and Oregon St. and frankly UNC were miracle wins. Washington was much closer than it should have been. All of these teams were vastly inferior to LSU and it showed as the season went on. Did you read the part where I excluded Miss St.?

I was at 3 of these games. Please don't assume anything.

It will be a good one! I think Oregon's defensive speed is better than our's. Better keep Hatcher's bottom on the bench in that one.

Geaux Tigers!!
