Besides Dreamland. Gonna be driving through there in an hour. Preferably close to interstate. All food types welcome. TIA

I always like to eat at the Cypress Inn - not real close to the interstate, but pretty easy to get to.

Cracker barrel is on the cottondale exit. One past Tuscaloosa. Bout as good as you'll get close to the highway

Longhorn, O'Charley's, 5 guys, olive garden, red lobster, chili's, popeye's, moe's, and jason's deli are all near the Mcfarland exit... Cracker barrel at the cottondale exit... hooters, wendy's, zaxby's, arby's, and lonestar at the highway 69 exit

Kozys - Best fine dining restaurant in the state of Alabama.
Directions: Take the McFarland exit go a couple of miles north on McFarland and turn right onto Hargrove Road. It's about a mile on your left. Pretty expensive, but very good.
Chuck's Fish, Epiphanys (right across the street from Chuck's), DePalmas (awesome Italian near Chucks), and Cypress Inn are all solid choices
I'd also recommend Evangelines, another fine dining restaurant that is right on McFarland close to Cypress Inn. It along with Kozys is arguably the most underrated restaurant in the state.

I seriously doubt it's better than the Yacht Club at NorthRiver.

Northriver Yacht Club is very nice but I've never heard anything especially notable about the restaurant there. I'm not saying it's not good, I just haven't ever heard anything about it.
Kozys, along with Evangelines is fantastic and it doesn't get the love from locals that it deserves because both places are expensive restaurants for a non major city.
I'd also highly recommend Nicks (in the Sticks) if you're looking for a casual steakhouse. Very good at what they do. Also very convenient from I-59 off the Tuscaloosa bypass exit.
