Georgia quarterback Zach Mettenberger was arrested early Sunday morning and is facing five misdemeanor charges: underage possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct, obstruction and two counts of possession of false identification in an incident near Valdosta.

Pissing on someone can be construed as an "assault". Sometimes the titles of charges are a bit misleading. While it is a category of offense, the cops are looking at the behavior and fitting it into the category it fits best. Consequently, an intimate touch can be charged as "sexual assault".
At least he wasn't disturbing the "piece".

Tiger, ask yourself these few questions, and maybe it'll shed some light on the subject.
1) Did you ever "over-serve" yourself adult beverages in College while underage to the point where you thought you were slick as "John Shaft", but later found out you were really as annoying as "Biff Tannen"? (Back to the Future)
2) While in the state of #1 above, did you ever start hitting on a girl, playing grab arse a time or five, even though she tells you to stop after the 1st time?
3) Assume #'s 1 & 2 above, but now your teammates start giving you smack about it, egging you on to cop a feel this tine, even though she has repeatedly tried to stay away from you? Against your better judgement you do it anyway, she gets totally pissed and slaps the crap out of you, a fight breaks out, you get arrested by a small town sheriff with a Barney Fife complex who just so happens to know the girl and her family very well, Barney throws every possible charge in the book at you and locks you up for good measure cause he's a die hard Seminole fan. Has that ever happened?
4) After you sober up and take 6 Alleve the next morning to get the cell to stop moving, Barney Fife tells you the girl's dad is on the BoT of UGA - Athens and you are NEVER to set foot in that County ever again, except for your arraignment and trial.
Would you still have a problem? Don't take this as the gospel, but you can get the gist of the story behind the story. Understand also M. Richt was in the middle of a runaway victory for the Fulmer Cup at the time this went down.

Hell, I'm in my mid-50's and still do that. The only thing is that I never had one tell me to stop ..... and mean it.

I read up on the situation and it was a great case of over charging a crime. Worst case scenario was a simple battery which is a second degree misdomeanor.
Georgia's loss is LSU's gain in this case.

I don't care about his past actions, only future ones. And if history has proven anything most Tiger fans won't care either. If Cecil Collins could have kept himself eligible and out of jail, no one would have cared how many windows he peeped into. We would have been cheering like mad for him as he rolled over our opponents on Saturday nights.

I trust that Miles has talked to him about the incident and explained his expectations at LSU ... if those expectations are not met, then Miles will deal with it accordingly.
That said, I think what he did was typical of most college athletes. Besides, it's not like he was caught cheating on tests, or stole a laptop.

I am a guy. I was in college. I've made out with girls. I've reached for boob/butt/belt buckle without asking permission first (it tends to kind of ruin the mood). Thankfully, none of said grab-ees freaked out and/or had fathers who were powerful LSU boosters.
Who among us that has ever been to Sports or Fred's or Murphy's hasn't reached for a boob mid-makeout session?
Look, UGA has had something like 30-35 players arrested in the last 3-4 years. This guy is the only one that got kicked off the team. It had a lot more to do with pressure from RichBoosterDaddy than the severity of the offense.

The kid made a mistake a lied to Mark Richt about it. Without making that mistake, he is not at LSU. Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes and matured.

"Sexual Assault" happens every night at college bars around the country. Just so happened to the wrong chick this time.
I know I've "sexually assaulted" girls in my time, you usually just know what's up in your interactions with the girl.
I'm sure this chick was drunk and flirty and was giving out normal drunk chick signals.
