There are no playoff location rules in Texas I don't think.

The schools agree to play at a neutral site. Occasionally, schools will agree to a coin flip with the winner hosting the game...but most of the time, the two schools find a neutral stadium and agree on it.

It really is east Texas. It's not part of the same culture as south Louisiana.

Longview's coaching staff hailed from the 2-5A district. John King will have his troops ready for battle, reagrdless of their location. Evangel used to play the Lobos and quit after being beat 3 years in a row. Heeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy go Lobos!

Instead of flipping the bird, you should be happy about that.

Thank god, I much prefer our culture to south of I-10, a friend of mine worked at a nice restaurant in Lafayette and said 95% of the customers ordered Dr. Pepper
I am also thankful I am not descended from cowardly french frogs

They had a story on Yahoo about it. Longview wanted to play at a stadium about 20 min for Mesquite but they have won a bunch of games there so Mesquite said no. It came down to a coin flip since no agreement could be made. Had Mesquite won the toss they would have played at SMU.

Yeah... that place is gonna be ridiculous.

My old HS put in a stadium that seats 12k with the ability to expand. We just moved up to 5A... Last year in 4A they went 1-9, first year in 5A they went 5-5. Not really sure how that works.
