Been reading some back threads and it looks like slim pickins on a nice romantic Italian restaurant....can anyone recommend Nash's Restaurant?

Imenelli's on Johnston. Bout as good as you're gonna get in Laffy. Non chain, quaint, dark, good Italian food most of the time.
But then theres always the Olive Garden

Imonelli's...sounds nice...I can't find a menu but the atmosphere looks about right....Going down to TFreis this weekend(sat thru tues) just trying to get some idea's for dinner. Will do the GF's birthday dinner at Charlie G's monday night....so I need to fill in a few nights...also thinking about Mazen and blue dog....Figure lunch is covered at Cafe Habana(followed by many mojitos), Dons, and poor boy riverside.

Without a doubt the Italian Market.

Alesi's is where I took my dates back in the early 60s.
Red and white checkerboard table cloth. Bacon pizza with real bacon instead of Canadian ham.
I always got a kiss goodnight. Zach did not go any further, because Zach was a righteous man.

Imonellis is good, Italian and otherwise. Alesis is checkered table cloth family type place, Marcellos on K.Saloom is very good and Mazen is REALLY good no matter what from Lebanese to winersnitzel. Their steaks and fish are also as well as their Italian.

And we have a winner!!!!
This is the place you are looking for. Maurizio will take care of you. He is from Sicily and is very blunt when he speaks. Be prepared, you are in for a great experience. Shrimp Scampi is amazing. Also, try the Beef Stew if available. It is delicious.

Report back on Blue Dog. I've eaten there many times and I just don't like it. I've been for lunch and dinner, but not for brunch. I find it to be inconsistent.
I hope you have a great trip.

Oh, Charles, a day without you would be like a day without sunshine.

I have never been a big fan of Blue Dog. My wife likes their Martini and some crab app. I would rather Cafe V.
