Seem more like Reid did that.

Not sure.. Looked like cover 2 with peterson picking up the guy in the flat and Hatcher being safety help over the top.. either way, Hatcher has to make that play, at least get the guy out of bounds.. His poor angles and bad tackling gave up those scores.

looked like he was in zone coverage and was just in his zone.

Looked like a zone so he had already released the receiver to the safeties.

No. They were in cover 2. PP did a bad job off the line of scrimmage with the receiver, but he is responsible for the flat unless the slot guy goes vertical which he didn't.

The safety is responsible for half the field, and that safety was Hatcher. PP and Hatcher should both be at fault for that one.

This is Cover 2. This is why he stopped in the flat.

BTW, it's also why Eric Reid was just as guilty on the last play of the half as Hatcher. He sold Hatcher out to jump the TE on a 5 yard drag.

The two outside receivers went deep, so Peterson should have followed the outside WR. Hatchers job was deep halves, but with no help and two deep routes, it was going to be impossible for him to cover both. He was biased towards the 2 receiver like he should've been and Mallet made a great throw to the 1 on the sideline. If anyone was at fault for that play, it had to be PP for releasing his man free and not following in his hip when the 2 went deep. Neither outside receiver ran anything to make PP think he would have flats.

You are correct. I stand corrected. I thought they were in twins and 1 went vertical and 2 went flat. They were in trips and 1 & 2 went vertical, and 3 went flats.

PP certainly has to accept blame for that one.

In all fairness to Hatcher, he was toast as soon as Peterson broke, Mallett knew where he was throwing at that instant.
