about 3 gallons and 2 cups if I'm figuring right.

1 gallon = 16 cups
1 lb of uncooked rice = 2.5 cups
thus 10 lbs of uncooked rice = 25 cups of uncooked rice. 50 cups of water, which is double is roughly 3 gallons of water plus two more cups of water.

Figure uncooked rice at about 2.5 cups per pound, so you have around 25 cups/200 oz. (by volume) of rice.

While 2:1 is usually pretty standard, in a bigger jambalaya, it's not unusual to use a little less liquid.

At 2:1, this would be 3 gallons plus 8 oz. (12.5 quarts). I'd use around 2.5 gallons (10 quarts) of liquid, personally.

Depends on the rice. If it's parboiled, you'll want a 2/1 water to rice ratio. If it's regular med or long grain rice, it's 1-1/2 to 1.

sounds like wet rice. i go lb for lb. easy to do
10lbs rice = 10lbs of liquid. gallon of water is 8.33lbs so roughly 1.5gal of liquid. seasonings[onion, etc, rotel, etc.] create a good bit of liquid also. i don't like wet sticky jambalaya.
