He's certainly proved that he's faster than Maicon. Not ready to put an olive leaf crown on his head just yet, tho.

As a gunner, I hate Tottenham...but as a football fan, I fricking love GB. He is playing on another level right now (although in the PL he doesn't put on the type of fireworks we've seen in the CL).

Enjoy it while you can spurs, because he'll be gone next year (probably to the Big 4, or La Liga)

ETA: And so it begins... LINK

I don't know that I'd say that. Obviously his Inter performances are his best to date, but he's been Spurs' best player since January. He's the reason they were 4th last season. He's got pace, size, stamina, strength, skill, can finish, can cross...I'll go ahead and put that olive crown on his head.

He'll be a big reason the Spurs stay in the top 5 of the EPL this year and with a little luck maybe an even better finish

I'd put their 4th place finish reasoning more in line with 1) Liverpool dropping out and 2) it being Harry Redknapp's second season in charge, thus a more efficient player-manager understanding. Also the astute additions of Niko Kranjcar and Peter Crouch. He did have a great season, but I wouldn't give him the most credit. That mantle goes to Gomes and Michael Dawson, who both had fantastic seasons defensively. I think most Spurs fans would tell you Gomes saved them more than a fwd/winger being a match-winner.

To me he's on the receiving end of Theo Walcott press hype syndrome. He's a young guy who's been a solid contributor, and all of the sudden he unleashes his potential in an international fixture, and then a raving caterwaul of journalists and fans alike start drooling.

Or more than likely I'm just too naturally skeptical. I had the same doubts about Jack Wilshere.

remember two years ago when he was a horseshite LB who guaranteed his side a loss if he was in the team. That was funny

I really hope not, but what did Tottemham pay for him? Can't be that high. If they get a ridiculous offer(and they probably will)they have to take it.
