LSU football team outplayed on both lines by Auburn: Tuesday film study

LSU got dominated on both front lines. Auburn's offensive line has four seniors and a junior and make it difficult to get a clean shot at Newton before he picks up speed.

In the Tigerbait article, he makes the comment that he thinks Newton should come back for his senior year and work on his passing of course he wants him to return.

It may not be that every recruit thinks this way but all the negativity and fans leaving early, booing, etc.. does have an effect on recruiting.

I would not give up on him for obvious reasons, however i would start looking at other talent to let him know that the program is moving forward with or without him. there are some other kids out there for our taking.

Man let him go. I think we will be ok. He wants to play LT and with Collins that probably isn't going to happen. His old teammate plays at Auburn. Auburn is loosing a few OL this year. This kid is not coming to LSU. Lets just try to focus on breaking the cycle because we are going to want that LB they got coming.

Agreed, BUT

Let me ask you this: Is the quote above considered the cause or the effect?

Handsome Harry, if Auburn locks up Robinson too, that just increases their chances to get Trey Granier go way up. These 2 guys will be selling him on Auburn. I think it's important for us to stop this pipeline. That's why the game this weekend is so important. LSU needs to finish strong to lock up another strong class. 3 consecutive average season will kill recruiting.

Not saying they'll get Ganier but we all thought Robinson was a lock as well.He had the same love for LSU at the beginning.Reed was never a lock.He was rumored to Texas early and then got on to Auburn.Just saying that things have been changing down there with the Thibodaux kids.

maybe so but i don't think that will happen. This has happened in the past. These kids want to be so hollywood and have all this hype it drives me crazy. I like the mac brown approach. Here is the offer, let me know pretty quick if you want it. Of course he has a bigger pool to recruit from, but i do like the approach. Upfront, serious, and do you want to be a tiger.

None of them ever had the love for LSU that Granier had. LSU would have to disband its program for him to play football anywhere else.

Changed that for you to has. I can tell you, no way in hell Granier does not come to LSU. He bleeds purple and gold. Besides, he would never make it out of Chackbay if he did not come to LSU

I guess Robinson has never seen an atmosphere like that. It had to be awesome. Despite our record we have serious problems at LSU and if any recruit can't see that they have serious problems. I bleed purple and gold but if something does not change and I am talking about on the offensive side of the ball, it will continue to spiral out of control. I am just not sure which way it will end up any longer. If any kids heart is not truly in coming to LSU, then I say, see ya!

I don't want to sound like your average rantard idiot, but if he really said this then I wish he goes to Auburn.

If that game had been in Tiger Stadium and we were in the midst of piling up 440 yards rushing, the crowd would have been incredible and the fans would have been loud "no matter the situation".

The Auburn crowd was average until the fourth quarter and then they brought it. When LSU tied it 17-17, the LSU contingent owned the stadium. For about 30 seconds anyway.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed by the Auburn crowd at all. They didn't boo, though.
