Obviously he can do it if he gets enough time here. The question is does he gets the opportunity? I think he does.

4 more years makes it probable. 5 more makes it a lock.

Funny thing is, I heard this same statement 2 years ago, and 2 years before that, and 2 years before that.

This year's looking more and more like 11-2 or 10-3. Next year's team should be a beast and the incoming class from this year's HS seniors is the best in a long time. Hard to believe your prediction is more than wishful thinking on your part.

Your distaste for Miles is incredible. I believe he'll be here for much longer; but thanks for your negative opinions.

Funny how one lucky bounce turns Miles from goat to genius on this site.

The year after next could be a down year and with Mile's history of turning LSU into a laughing stock, another 5 loss year and he's gone. That's just the reality.

Not commenting on his goatness or geniusness. Just looking at the numbers and wondering where the firing offense is coming from in your fantasy.

He's 57. He's got a very narrow window for Michigan to get interested in him. The RichRod(TM) experiment may have enough of a breakthru this year to close it. Miles is not a threat to go anywhere else. A win total of 9 (almost presumptive at this point) will defer the entire question until next year. 10 wins will likely yield a short extension, 2-3 years, but that, under normal circumstances, won't quite get him from 60-65 after 2010 to a guaranteed 100 after, say, 2013 (though it is certainly possible). He started in 2005 - assuming 11 wins a year average, he would need all the way through 2013, plus an extra win (or into 2014) to get to 100 wins.

I don't dislike the guy at all. In fact, I was able to learn about him personally after sitting next to his agent on a flight. He seems like a really nice guy.

But he seems to lack the pedal to the metal, attention to detail, killer instinct. He has the talent to put down these pathetic teams like dogs. He may be a nice guy IRL, but I want him, and his team to be RUTHLESS on the field.
