This kid is such a freakin badass. The strip of Moody last week is one of the plays of the year. Makes it a pleasure to watch this defense.

And to think, there were some fans that wondered if the coaches knew what they were doing offering him a scholy as an "unproven" and unranked player.

I think in Tyrann's case , pretty much everyone knew about him after the UT camp and there was a lot of excitement about getting a 3-4 * who would definitely be a good player.

He was not thought of as an unproven or unranked player - in fact he was a 4* I think.

There were questions on our own recruiting board. You know the usual anything to knock our staff gang.
What you say is true, after the Tenn camp. the "word' was out.

Oh you mean the usual experts on recruiting/coaching/play calling/etc...

They will start the questions after his 1st down game.

ETA : Not related to tyrann alone - but there are some folks on the recruiting board who know a lot of stuff with regards to evaluation of a raw player and they had spot on evaluations about both Mo and Tyrann.

Yeah those guys.
And there were rips on Josh Downs and Josh Williford. Some of our gurus knew way more then our coaches

Yep--after that video I think most of us were doing cartwheels when he decided to come to LSU.

This guy is really phenomenal--and for a true freshman, his football IQ is uncanny.

PP absolutely shutting down his side of the field definitely helps TMs game (as well as the other 9 defenders on the field)

The kid is freaking Darren Sharper esque with all those forced turnovers.

Jumping on two of his own forced fumbles as well. SOLID
