all credit for this goes to robbiesqp and his transcript of Miles press conference today. heres the short version of his QB answer:

Q: who will play this saturday at QB?
A: Both will play at UF like they did against UT.

so once again we'll play with an offense for half the game. i like Miles but if this is true i cant really deny that hes a fricking retard. Lee was great, jordan was fricking horrendous as always. we now have zero chance at winning this game.

why the JJ love from Miles.

JJ will cost this team at LEAST 1 game this season if continues to get significant playing time.

why does Miles hate LSU.

I think that response made it obvious that Lee is starting. He just doesn't have the heart to say it yet.

He'll bring in Jefferson to run the option or some other stupid stuff.

Regarding the end of the UT game, when he brought in Jefferson, did Les not just tell Tennessee that he was not going to throw the ball? that he was going to run some stupid option or keeper? and look what happened, KEEPER!

no, we wont. thats why teams dont just punt on first down every other possession. you need all of them. have you watched a game this year? jordan is completely useless.

Maybe there was more method to the madness against Tennessee than I was able to perceive from my 30 yard line seat, but it appeared to me that they simply alternated quarterbacks every series, with no regard to field position, game situation, or anything other than whose turn it was to hit the shot--up until they needed a drive to win, and then they went to Lee (until they flipped back for the last 2 plays). I don't know what it is about Lee that gives the coaches pause, but the answer can't be as simple as "your turn, my turn."

Don't you guys know Les better. He never shows his hand in this type of situation. Keep Florida guessing.

IMHO the best thing to do is have JJ in for 1st and 2nd downs and then throw Lee in on 3rd and 23 type situations. That way, you destroy the confidence of not one but two QBs in one swoop.

You actually think he's smart enough to play shell games. He couldn't operate a spoon with all his "want" focused on it.

either enjoy the comedy that is les miles as a coach or lose your mind.

what else did you expect this weekend? of course les is going to play both, or one of them for the entire game, and maybe not the one you want.

you know you can't ever go by what miles says.

I'm okay with JJ playing.

But what I'd like is for JJ to play like RP did in 2007. I know he's not as mobile nor as natural of a runner, but he's gotten much better at running the traditional option and runs the zone/read very well... so it's nice to have that dynamic.

But Lee needs to see 85% of the snaps.

But after first down, Tennessee was not going to be looking for another pass. And they easily defended it the first time anyway. Our pass in the end zone on the drive before that was a pick The only way we were gonna get in was to run it in. They knew we were gonna run it either way (or they were counting on it). If you leave JL in there, there is no doubt that the RB is getting it. With JJ in there, they know we're still running it, but they don't know if the QB will take it or whether an RB will get it. They had to account for the QB and the RB rather than just the RB. And making the D guess is part of being successful in football.

Running him in there with one play was the idiotic thing.
