JL is given a shot and fails MISERABLY? Not saying iit will happen but it definitely could. Then what? What if the coaching staff knows more about JL than we do? I think he should be given some snaps do to the bad play of JJ. I disagree with JL getting snaps solely on the premise he is the backup and is only an injury away from playing.
I never hear fans call for Brees' back-up to get playing time. Fact is, JL may provide a spark offensively. I think our WR drop so many passes b-cuz they just aren't really sold on JJ being the answer and they just really don't play all out for him.

then at least the fan base will be satisfied and they can stoop booing. if that's the best we have that's the best we have.

Easy, after JL gets a full week of practicing with the first team, if he comes out and is LESS effective than JJ was after two or three series, pull him out and put JJ back in. You can't possibly think that JJ would go further into the tank with a few less practices in a single week. frick, I could hand the ball off to Ridley and get the ball to our receivers if I was only throwing 8 yrd passes.

i heard that stat the other day that jefferson has thrown a pick in 8 straight games. I don't think he could do much worse than that

none, but he has thrown twice as many picks as tds, and only topped the amazing 100 yd mark once in four games.

Blame the coaches for leaving us with such pathetic QB play after 6 years in the program.

I think we'd be better off for having tried another option, even if it doesn't work out. Does Miles want Lee's first real action to be against Florida or Alabama? That would be pretty bone-headed.

I think that JL should see some playing time. He desrves it for staying and practicing hard while shouldering everything he did.
On the other hand, JJ has played as bad as a QB can play but the coaching staff don't seem to think JL could do any better. I would imagine thats based off what they see in practice.
IMHO Miles is sort of giving JJ the same amount of rope as he gave JL. Man does everyone remember just how bad fans wanted JJ to get a shot 2 yrs ago? It took injury and the fans cheered EXTREMELY loud when JJ came in.
Let's hope that CLM really does have the teams' best interest at heart and get this fixed before the UF game. BTW I think even with JJ we can beat UF in a VERY close game. Their offense is just as bad as ours.
