the JJ backers are quickly running out of excuses.

mainly because Lee is getting better by default

i would honestly be shocked if lee doesnt start saturday. best time to. coming off JJ's worst performance ever. tenn not a very good team. a good game for lee to ease into playing and getting into the starting role

Efrad, oh wise one, tell me what last year has to do with this year. I'll answer it for you. Nothing you moron. Jefferson isn't getting it done. Period. We need a change.

This is the dumbest thread ever. You cant give a QB one game to judge him. JL's 2008 ( pick six )offense was way better than anything JJ has to offer.

I'm am not a JJ supporter at all, but this is The best way to put it. He hasn't done anything wrong but nothing great either. Hopefully he gets a shot Saturday to prove he can be a solid starting quarterback.....he probably won't get that chance though.

Anybody got his spring game numbers?
It seems like his performances have been fairly consistent from 08 to last year to the spring game.
Given all that I still think it's time to give him a chance. If he goes in, I will be holding my breath though.

I wouldn't mind if Lee started, but doubt that will happen. Just hoping he'll get a lot more playing time unless JJ shocks us all with a decent performance.

Give that QB time to Shep. If he's not the answer then bring on basketball season.

You should also note that the La Tech game followed a devastating loss to Bama and the whole team basically quit just like in the Troy State game the year before.
That is a huge difference that people choose to continually ignore in that game. It wasn't just Lee playing bad. The whole team from offense to defense played like utter shite that day.

Which is truly the worse performance?
I think Lee shold start. But comparing WVU to La Tech is a really poor argument for it.

I'm not sure now if we have a legit SEC caliber QB on this team...if Lee doesnt pan out, whats next?..

Be prepared to be shocked then....Miles keeps saying when asked about the QB situation before every game that he would be surprised after the good week of practice if the passing game doesn't pick up. Surprise, surprise, it doesn't! It would be so easy to get the monkey partially off his back and help people like JJ a lot more if just gave Lee at least a half to see what he could do. If he did well, that would be the end of it until he does poorly for several games as Jefferson has. If he doesn't do well, he could say at least he tried Lee, and people would not be as hard on JJ after. JJ better hit the books hard though...he won't be seeing ANY Sunday action.
