I use an 870 20 gauge, but I wait til it cools off before I start. Don't want to fight the snakes and mosquitoes in the swamp.

On my parent's property

Or atleast I hope I'll be able to squeeze in a hunt that morning (I'm getting married that afternoon...)

And I only hunt squirrels with my old .22, just more fun. Shooting squirrels with any shotgun larger than a .410 just isn't challenging enough.

You must not hunt cat squirrels that have been hunted before. Ours will jump out of a tree in a second if they see you.

I'm gonna be in the big town of Castor in Bienville parish on family land. I'll either be using my 870 20ga youth model (cuz its light) or my Browning Sweet 16.

I do hunt skittish cat squirrels. That's why it's more challenging with a .22.

If the squirrel runs with a 12 gauge, it's still pretty easy to kill it.

You gotta be a sneaky SOB to kill squirrels with a .22. Plus I feel like a sniper. I love picking them bastards off 1 at a time if there are more than 1 in a tree.
