Okay, really stupid question, but how do you do that? I assume Photoshop, but what version? I'd like to get into this a bit, but don't know what if anything I need to buy.

I use PhotoShop CS3. I've had it for several years, the current release is CS5 - as noted above, rather expensive. You can check out PhotoShop Elements, somewhat less expensive. Some of the other photo processing programs should handle most applications.

Photoshop is reasonable if you qualify for the Student/Teacher edition. Make sure you qualify before purchasing though. You can get burned pretty bad if you buy it and don't qualify.
