don't know, but our offense will continue to suck being that Jefferson has a tough time on when to pitch the ball and he has serious troubles with just about any designed running play

yes, he never got injured on the option running it last year. and there is no way, he can be as bad at running it this year as he was running it last year.

It isn't just Jefferson. Crowton called it against La Tech with Lee at QB and he ran it the same way the Jefferson does - incorrectly.

I'm beginning to think that no one bothered to show our QB the technique behind running the option.

don't doubt that for a second. I am still confused as why we try to run the option when we clearly do not have an option/running QB

I think we could run it if someone on the staff decided to show our QBs the proper technique.

Not that he's an option qb, but from what I remember, Lee ran it better, not that that's saying much

Not sure, but I bet he doesn't net 30 yds rushing in 15 attempts. And I bet at least 2 fumbles.

You mean in the situational scrimmage that was intended to work on the short rushing game? You mean THAT scrimmage? Please tell me when was the last time LSU ran the option 15 times in a game? Maybe the Herb Tyler years?

God, Rantards are out in full force today.

the option is almost always run out of the 4-wide, check with me, which leads me to believe it is Crowton's fallback play when he doesn't see a favorable matchup vs. the defense...I don't think this is a strategic play he's trying to execute, just the easiest thing to execute in this situation.

SEC defenses are way too fast to be running the option. I think running the option is a good way to get our quarterbacks killed.

Nope. He did just what Jefferson does. Instead of running down the line of scrimmage and creating space between himself and the RB, Lee dropped 4-5 feet behind the line and was only a few feet away from the RB. When the DE began to penetrate, instead of stepping up and making the DE commit, Lee pitched it to Williams and the DE broke off and tackled Williams for a loss.

Same stupid shite Jefferson does.

So we either have two QB that are incapable of learning simple technique, or we have a QB coach that glosses over pretty important details.

I'm inclined to believe the latter.
